A simple story

I recently remembered a little story that got me thinking about everything that is happening in the world right now. It began with a small child, simple taking a sweet from a jar, knowing that he should have asked first. When his mother asked him if he had taken a sweet without asking, the child replied, "yes, I had the sweet". His mother is happy that he told the truth but enquires anyway, "why didn't you lie? Why did you tell me you took the sweet when you know you will be punished?".. The child replies, "Well there has to be one person in the world who tells the truth".

This little story (that I don't tell very well) got me thinking about all the lies in the world. I strongly feel that this little story about a child telling the truth even though in doing so would result in punishment, represents everything that is wrong with people today. Government want control, people stab each other in the back to make a small pittance and worst of all. People are not honest with others, or even themselves. I believe that we need to re-think our values and ensure that we are happy and content with ourselves, before we complain about other people. We should sort our own lives out before worrying about who is going to get voted out of the jungle.

Inspiration Exploration

Today is a special day. Today is the day that my outlook on life, the world and everything gets voiced. If it were not for one little lady, I would have probably left this blog behind and sailed into the night sky, where my imagination and opinions are stored deep away. I feel that now I can write this with confidence because of her. I know that I can let my imagination out, write down how and what I feel and most of all, know that I will not be judged.

I am grateful to her. She has helped me more than she knows. Its good to know that someone is remotely on my wavelength and that there is still a little bit of good left in the world.

I know I'm not perfect, but I think that there needs to be one person left in this world who tells the truth, no matter how much it hurts. Yes you look fat in that dress, yes I don't like your cooking, yes I think abortion is right. All these things may hurt some people, but I don't care. If its one thing I don't like about todays society, its that everyone shelters each other and makes people feel safe and secure. I can understand why people want to shelter each other, but what happens when something traumatic happens that you can't hide or run away from, when that time comes you are going to be utterly butterly screwed. You'll probably get depressed and kill yourself.

I'd like to talk more about this but I have a date with my bed, and I have a little young lady to thank, for helping me get started in showing the world how I feel :)

Content

Just thought I would write this considering I'm bored and have nothing to do at the moment. Basically I just wanted to say that if anyone has any ideas for content that relates to the title or what I've been talking about and they think it would make a good article, just let me know. I'm always happy to take on other peoples Ideas.

Also, I still haven't decided on a topic to start out with, so if anyone has any ideas for a good starting point, comment on this post.

Why is the world wrong?

As this is my first ever blog, I thought I would start with something relatively open and with a lot of possible roots for discussion: It is basically why I think that today's world is wrong and in many ways, evil. I will try my best to make it inspiring and compelling and I hope that this will lead to many great discussions about the way we live. I will add a new post every week on a different topic. My first post and also the start of this wonderful journey will begin in one week. I suppose all I can say now is, stay tuned.
